Butterfly Sampler with Paisley Petals DSP

Here are some cards I made with one of my favorite DSPs.  I used Framelits Labels Die paired with the oval frame embossing folder (free during Sale-a-Bration).  These look cool together!''

So Saffron and Crumb Cake Butterfly

I found some retired DSP that I decided to get out and play with.  I can't remember the name of this paper.  But I really liked it when it came out.  Notice the emobssed frames?  These embossing folders come in a pair:  an oval and a rectangle.  They are free during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 order.  Enjoy!

This one uses a sentiment from "Loving Thoughts" in the Occasions mini catalog.  Butterfly is from "Creative Elements" stamp set.  Both stamped in Crumb Cake ink.  Embossing folder is "Elegant Lines".

Kindness Matters

Sale-a-Bration is underway!  This is the most exciting time of year for Stampin' Up! lovers!!  For every $50 spent on Stampin' Up products you get to pick out free stuff!  Here are some cards made with the Kindness Matters set that you can get free during Sale-a-Bration.  I just love that little row of butterflies!  But I'm partial to butterflies anyway!!

If you want to place an order, just let me know!  :)

Playing with Purples!

I  love purple!!  I decided to pull out my retired Pale Plum and pair it with Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.  I got out one of my favorite stamp sets and these are what I came up with.  I hope you like them!

CASED cards

I get many of my ideas from other people.  Sandy Hancock is one of  my favorites!  She is so very talented.    A "CASE" in the stamping world is "Copy And Steal Everything."  We do that when we see something we want to replicate.  :)  Here are two CASES I got from Sandy.

Her photography skills are much better... :)  but you get the idea...

More Beau Chateau

I think this is my very favorite DSP in the big catalog this year.  So elegant.  I love the colors too.  I am not sure what the name of this type of card is but I like it.  The flower is made with 8 scallop circle punched circles folded to make the petals.

We will be making this at my next Stamp a Stack in February.  :)

I love the Morning Mocha DSP!

More Inspiration

I made this card today which was a CASE of a card by Judee Pepper.  I used different stamps (Take it to Heart from the Occasions mini) and changed up the colors.  I used crumb cake, riding hood red, elegant eggplant.  We will be making this version at my next Stamp a Stack on February 18.

Here is Judee's card:

Inspiration

I got this adorable card from my friend Jenn, who was inspired by an Occasions mini catalog card.
Which in turn inspired this card I made using Beau Chateau.

Framelits- Label Collection card

I made this card to fit in a larger envelope.  It uses the largest Label Collection die for the card base.  I am loving these new dies!
Products used:  Beau Chateau DSP. Very Vanilla and Soft suede card stock.  Ink:  Pretty in Pink and Soft Suede. Retired Pink Piroutte  ribbon.  French script background stamp (masked over the flowers).  Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink.  Hostess set:  Simply Soft

Elegant Valentine

Here is a simple valentine card made with the Everyday Elegance Simply Sent die cut cards you can get free during Sale-a-bration.  The stamp set is from the occasions mini catalog called "Take it to Heart", which coordinates with the Hearts Collection Framelits dies.  Also used:  Heart Collection framelits.  Swirls Scribbles Sizzlit.  Retired quilted ribbon.  Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso.  Cardstock:  Whisper White, Chocolate chip

Mark your calendars!

My next Stamp a Stack will be Saturday February 18 at 10 am.  $25 for 10 cards, lunch, door prizes, fun!  RSVP soon to reserve a spot!

We will be making more fun cards using products from the new Occasions mini catalog as well as Sale-a-bration goodies.

Host a workshop during Sale-a-bration and earn tons of free stuff!  Contact me to schedule a workshop.  I'd be happy to come to your home and show your friends how much fun stamping is!!

Here is the first card we will be making at my Stamp a Stack:

Playing with Pattern papers

I wanted to try out  my new hostess (Posy Punch) set that coordinates with the Fancy Flower punch.  And I got these fabulous buttons on clearance from Stampin Up.  (I just love a bargain!).  I first used a white background but it was too plain.  So I put it on DSP instead.  I like it.  Do you think it is too busy? Swirl "leaves" are the Swirl Scribbles Sizzlit Die.  DSP:  Pocket Full of Posies and Nursery Nest.

Playing with my new goodies!

I got the new stamp set "Mixed Bunch" and the coordinating punch from the Occasions mini catalog.  I saw the card with the flower made into a butterfly and decided to give it a try.  I think maybe I need to add antenna but otherwise I think it turned out pretty!  I like the monochromatic color scheme also.

We will make this at my next stamp a stack on February 18.

Cardtock and ink:  Marina Mist, Very Vanilla
DSP:  Beau Chateau
Accessories:  Marina Mist Satin ribbon, button from "Twitterpated" buttons in the Occasions mini catalog.

Everyone who attended my Stamp a Stack received one of these heart goodie boxes filled with candy and cookies made with the StampinUp cookie  presses.  I painted the heart on the cookie with corn syrup and food coloring.  Hearts Collection Framelits dies #125599 $26.95- set of 6 stackable dies.  Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps:  # 127081 Occasions set $16.95

Here are some of the cards we made on Saturday

Heat embossing

Faux suede flowers

This card idea came from Sandy Hancock.  She did hers in Baja Breeze instead of Not Quite Navy.  Gorgeous!

Paper quilled roses.  I got this card on an internet site but I can't remember the name of the creator.  When I find it I will update this post.

This heart card also came from Sandy Hancock.  She did hers in pink, which looks great too.

Ladies hard at work :)

As you can see, we start 'em stamping young around here!

Door Prizes at my Stamp a Stack

Here are pics of the door prizes I gave away at my Stamp a Stack on Saturday.  There were card packs and post it note holders with ribbon roses.  Fun stuff!

Heart Die in Black

I made another heart box, but this time I used black cardstock.  I added a butterfly cut with Beautiful Wings Embosslit, and a swirl flourish cut with Scribbles Swirls Sizzlit.  Added a few tiny rhinestones for some bling.  Love it!

Edgelits die

The new Ocasions mini catalog features Edglits dies that cut beautiful edges.  And there is an embossing folder that makes a coordinating embossed edge.  (There is a stamp set too that stamps an image border in the same shape but I haven't ordered that yet.  So many goodies, so little money.  teehee)

Cardstock: River rock, Whisper white. Retired Stampin Up DSP, retired Groovy Guava double stitched ribbon. Butterfly punch by Stampin Up.

Valentine boxes

I am loving the new nesting heart dies from Stampin' Up!  These are in the new Occasions mini catalog.  I made some adorable heart goodie holders today.   If you come to my next Stamp a Stack you might just get one of these... wink, wink.  :)
