Revamped Card

Something about the baby card I made a couple of posts back was bothering me.  I think the DSPs weren't working for the baby theme.  So I revamped it with some Floral Fusion Sizzlit Die flowers instead.  After I took the picture I realized that the floral DSP is now not oriented the right way.   Sigh... there's always something!   I'm too tired to fix it tonight, so I will try to redo it tomorrow and remember to repost it.  :)

The tiny floral center is the Itty Bitty Punch pack.   Sentiment is from Sweet Essentials.  I also used the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches.

Paper Players Color Challenge

I am in love with this color combination!  And I'm also in love with the Floral Fusions Sizzlit Die!  I used Calypso Coral ink and a sponge to add color to the petals and the flower centers are the Calypso Coral In Color brads.  The leaves are the skinny Lucky Limeade ribbon that was part of the Sale-a-bration promotion a few months back.   I used the scallop edge punch and accented that with some tiny pearls.  The sentiment is from Sweet Essentials.  I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to have the words in a column instead of a horizontal row, and embossed the panel after stamping the words.  Sadly, the satin ribbon is retired.

Dynamic Duos

One last card today before I have to go clean house!  I made this card for this week's Dynamic Duo Color challenge.  The colors are Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry.  That combo screamed fall to me so I pulled out my Gently Falling stamp set and my trusty Stamp-a-majig and off I went.  The sentiment is from Sweet Essentials, punched with the 1" and 1-1/4" circle punches.  The ribbon and DSP are retired.

Mojo Monday and Stampin' Royalty Challenges

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the MojoMonday and Stampin' Royalty Challenges this week.  Here's my card:

The colors are from the Stampin' Royalty Challenge::

And the layout is from the Mojo Monday challenge:

As you can see I flipped the sketch so I could make the sweet little baby foot print work.  The sentiment is from Sweet Essentials.

The thing I love about these challenges is it forces me to use color combos that I would never think of on my own.  Plus it's always fun to try new layouts as well.  If you haven't participated in any challenges before, you really should.  It's so fun!!

Edit:  I revamped this card to change the theme.  The baby theme wasn't working with the DSP I didn't think.  So I redid it with flowers instead.  See a few posts up.

Freshly Made Sketch and PPA Color Challenge

I dedided to play along with a couple of challenges today.  The PPA Color challenge is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Daffoldil Delight.  The sketch I used is from the Freshly Made Sketch challenge.  For my neutral I used Crumb Cake.  I used a Daffoldil Delight marker to color in the butterfly wings.

Hostess Club Project for July

I was out of town for our normal hostess club meeting last night so we are meeting next Thursday instead.  This is the Hostess Club project we will be making.  It is a mini pizza box that holds four 3x3 notecards with envelopes.  We will be using the Reason to Smile stamp set that is a special promotion stamp set for the  month of July ($5 with a $50 order.)  You could also put candy inside.  So cute!

Bordering on Romance

This is another of the cards we made at my Stamp a Stack last month.   Thanks to Evie for designing this card!

Cardstock and Ink:  Elegant Eggplant, Garden green, Whisper White.  Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Flowers were heat embossed in black on white cardstock and colored with Watercolor Wonder crayons and Aquapainters, handcut and adhered with dimensionals and embellished with pearls.  Sentiment is from Perfect Punches.  Happy Birthday was punched with the coordinating extra large oval punch and layerd on top of Labels Collection Framelits cut cardstock.  The Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon is retired.

Reason to Smile

Stampin' Up! is giving us all a reason to smile this month!  For the month of July you get the Reason to Smile promotional stamp set for $5 with a $50 order.  It is such a pretty set!

I made these candy covers for boxes of Raisinets candy.  They would make such a cute Thank You gift or Birthday treat.  Here are the instructions:

These measurements work for the boxes I bought today at Ralph's which measured 6-1/4" by 3-1/4" by 3/4".

Take a piece of Island Indigo cardstock measuring 6-1/4" by 8-1/4".  Score this on the long side at
1-1/2", 2-1/4", 5-1/2" and 6-1/4".  Fold this around your box and adhere with SNAIL adhesive.

Panel is a piece of Whisper White cardstock that is 6" x 3".  Adhere a strip of Pool Party cardstock that is 3/4" x 6" to the top of your Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp flowers in Pool Party and Island Indigo ink.  Stamp one in Island Indigo ink on a piece of scrap whisper white and fussy cut it and layer it with dimensionals.  I also put a large pearl in the center of the popped up flower.   Tie Island Indigo ribbon around the Pool Party strip. Adhere on top of the Island Indigo cardstock with SNAIL adhesive.  Sentiment is from Sweet Essentials and is stamped in Island Indigo ink.

I also cut 3/4" by 3-1/4" strips to cover the ends of the box and adhered with SNAIL adhesive.

Everyone who places a $50 order and purchases the Reason to Smile set for $5 will get one of these boxes from me.  You MUST place your order with me by email by Thursday July 12.  You will receive your candy box when you pick up your order, which will be delivered to my house.

What's not to smile about?!
