Everything Eleanor

One more card left for today.  This one also uses the same color scheme as the previous few cards, with the Adhesive Backed Fabric.  I used Apthecary Accents Framelits die and the Beautful Birthday stamp stamped in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla.  Sentiment piece is paper pierced using the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.  Card Base is Baja Breeze.  Panel is Very Vanilla embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  The flowers, from Everything Eleanor stamp set,  are stamped in Soft Suede ink on Baja Breeze cardstock, and fussy cut and layered.  Sponged everything with Soft Suede ink.  Misc:  Antique Brass Brads, Dimensionals.

Papillon Potpourri

I was on a roll today!  Since I had all my supples out I thought I might as well make a couple more cards before I put everything away. I found a card by Jen Sannes that inspired this card:

Card base is Soft Suede,  Still using the Adhesive Fabric "DSP".  Not sure I would buy that again-- just not easy to work with in my opinion.  But is sure is pretty!!  Butterflies were stamped in Marina Mist on  Very Vanilla cardstock.  Big butterfly is punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  Sentiment, from Petite Pairs, is stamped in Soft Suede.   Misc:  Marina Mist taffeta, dimenstionals  and pearls.  Clean and simple.

Language of Friendship

I saw a fun sketch on Sweet Sunday Sketches and decided to give it a whirl:

I changed it to a horizontal layout.  The "DSP" is actually sticky backed fabric.  I saw it at a craft store and my eyes were so dazzled by the beauty of the colors and patterns that I neglected to notice the label indicated it was sticky backed fabric and not paper!  Oops!  I still loved it so much I thought, why not.  It's not that easy to cut in my paper cutter.  The fabric tends to fray.   And when you go to lay it down, you  better be committed because once it's down, it's DOWN!  All in all, it is not nearly as easy to work with as paper.  But it does add a neat texture.  And I really am in love with the colors.  My card base is Soft Suede with a layer of Very Vanilla over that.  The flowers and bird are stamped in Soft Suede ink on Baja Breeze card stock and sponged with Soft Suede ink.  Other items used:  Language of Friendship stamp set, Apothecary Accents Framelits die, Bird Builder punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pac, Antique bass brads, dimensionals.

Here is another card I made with the same "fabric DSP".   I used Early Espresso cardstock, Scallop Edge Border punch, Floral Frames Framelits.  I did the "Faux Suede" technique on the flowers and sponged with Espresso ink.  Ribbon is non Stampin Up.

Snow Much Fun

The Snow Much Fun stamp set is one of my favorites!  I just love the adorable snowmen, and the little birds are so sweet.  Such a versatile set!  This is another one of the Christmas Cards we will make at my Christmas SAS on November 10.  The DSP is the Festival of Prints pack.  Such pretty papers!  And I love how the Pennants Die and Doilies Die layer so well together.  Simple and sweet!!  Enjoy...

Mojo Monday Challenge

I really love the Mojo Monday sketch challenge site.  Lots of GREAT card layouts!  This week they had a fun "Circle or Square" layout where you choose.  I opted for the square/ rectangle layout.  Here's what I came up with:

I used the Be of Good Cheer holiday DSP which coordinates with Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.  Yummy!!  I used the ornament punch to punch out an ornament.  The Gumball Green ribbon I got FREE with the promotion that ends in just a few days!  The sentiment is retired.  This will be one of the cards we will be making at my Christmas Card SAS on Saturday November 10.  I hope you're making plans to attend!  If you can't make it but want a card pack just email me and let me know.
