Wedding Invitation

My co-worker and dear friend is getting married!  She asked me to make her wedding invitations and I was honored!  She wants Navy and Silver.  So I designed 2 cards today for her.  I will let her decide which one she likes best.  When I asked her what she wanted she said,  "Oh just something simple."  "I don't do simple!" I repled!  LOL....So true.  I always go over the top with ribbons etc.  That's just my style!

Which one do you like best?

I had a fun day paper crafting with some of my stamping buddies at my upline Pam's house today.  Pam taught us how to make this super cute accordian card holder/ purse.  It is made with the Simply Scrapping kit in the summer mini catalog.  There are lots of cards inside also made with the cardstock and stickers in the kit.  Way cool!  Thanks Pam!

My next Stamp a stack and Fall Festival

Just a heads up to all my stamping buddies.  My next Stamp a Stack will be Saturday September 24.  Hope you can come.  Great cards and fun door prizes!

Also my fellow Stampin Up Demonstrators and I are are having a Fall Festival day of stamping on Saturday October 22 at El Dorado Church of God in Oceanside.  There will be fun cards to make, samples to see and technique demonstrations.  Lunch and door prizes too.

Mark your calendars and make plans to attend these two fun events!!!

Wedding card

We made this card at my Stamp a Stack.  I wanted to showcase the rouched ribbon tecnique.  It looks intimidating but is really quite easy.  Everyone at the class was surprised at how easy it is.  A stunning effect.  I love the wide striped ribbon!

Bold Blossom card

This card uses the Bold Blossom set that also retires at the end of this month. The stem stamp works perfect with the petals die cut.  . And I am so in love with the new 2011-2013 In Colors Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeaid.  And the ruffled ribbon is just beautiful.  Pictures don't do it justice.  You can get it in all the new 2011-2013 In Colors!  Thanks Gail for the idea for this card.

The Open Sea

One of the cards from my Stamp a stack, this one using The Open Sea stamp set and Nautical Designer Series Paper.  This was the first chance I had to play with my new labels die.  Love it!  Also masculine cards are always hard for me but his stamp set makes it so easy.  And I love the DSP!  If you want this set and paper you better order soon.  They retire at the end of this month!

Vintage Vogue

We used the Vintage Vogue stamp set for this card at my Stamp a Stack this past weekend.  I love the 2010-2012 In Colors Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizazz.  Gorgeous colors! And I love that Stampin Up is keeping the In Colors for two years now!

Ice Cream you scream....

Another card we made at my stamp a stack on Saturday.  If you look closely you can see we used Crystal Effects to make the popcicles look like ice.  Thanks Pam for the inspiration for this great card.

Sweet and Sour Awash with Flowers

This is one of the cards we made at my Stamp a Stack this past weekend.  We had a full class and everyone had a great time.  :-)

This uses retired paper but it is some of my favorite and I hadn't gotten a chance to play with it much.  I cased this card from Heather but hers was a square card.  I altered her design to fit a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 card.  I also used the baby wipe technique with reinkers to give it a tie dyed look.  Some of the stampers at my workshop stamped the images with ink pads to get a fuller color and they turned out great too.
