Paper Players Sketch Challenge #88

There is a new sketch on the Paper Players site.  Here's the sketch:
And here is my take on it:
I needed a masculine card and I wanted to use The Open Sea stamp set, which seems to work better in a horizontal format.  For the decorative edge I used retired spiral notebook punch instead of a scallop. For the fiber I used a piece of hemp and tied on an anchor.

The Open Sea is fantastic for easy masculine cards!  It is still available as a write in.  If you want to order it, let me know.  I hope it makes it into the big catalog on June 1, but we will have to wait and see!!

Thanks for looking!

  1. I really like this. The ship on the textured panel looks really good, and I like the anchor accent. Very masculine and pleasing to the eye.

  2. A fabulous masculine card, Tina! I love the look of the ship on the textured background. I also like how you flipped the sketch! Thanks for playing with The Paper Players!

  3. Hi Tina! This is such a great masculine card! Love the way you flipped the sketch and the fab textures you added. (Especially to the stamped image...such a cool look!) So glad you joined us agt the Paper Players this week! :)

  4. ohhh I love how you flipped the sketch! Great use of textures and dimension. I also love the fussy cut anchor and how you tied it around the card. Thanks for joining us at The Paper players this week!
