Mojo Monday Sketch

I decided to try another Mojo Monday sketch.  This week you can choose either a circle or a square card.  When I saw the sketch it reminded me of the French flag, hence my Eiffel tower card!  Thanks for looking!

Here's the sketch.
And here's my French tri-color "merci" card:

Stamp Sets used:  Artistic Etchings, French Foliage, Vive la nature

Paper:  Espresso, Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Real Red

3/4" and 1"circle punches.  Retired quilted Espresso ribbon

Paper Players Sketch Challenge #88

There is a new sketch on the Paper Players site.  Here's the sketch:
And here is my take on it:
I needed a masculine card and I wanted to use The Open Sea stamp set, which seems to work better in a horizontal format.  For the decorative edge I used retired spiral notebook punch instead of a scallop. For the fiber I used a piece of hemp and tied on an anchor.

The Open Sea is fantastic for easy masculine cards!  It is still available as a write in.  If you want to order it, let me know.  I hope it makes it into the big catalog on June 1, but we will have to wait and see!!

Thanks for looking!

Bunny Candy Bar holder

I made a cute little bunny candy bar holder today.  Isn't she sweet?
For the face I punched a large heart and used the large oval punch to round off the point.
Here are the punches I used.  All Stampin Up!

I sponged all the white pieces with Soft Suede ink.  Sponged the Pretty in Pink pieces with Regal Rose ink.  Used white gel pen for highlights.  Soft Suede maker for other detials on face and hands.

Chocolate Easter bunny box

I made this Easter Bunny box for a hostess gift to give to my friend Lis Ljung for hosting an upcoming Stampin- Up demonstrator event.  I cut down an empty card box and covered the sides with the Mocha Morning DSP.  I downloaded a wonderful bunny template here.  Cut the bunny from the Mocha Morning DSP-- which I think looks alot like chocolate!!  I mounted it on Soft Suede CS to give it some strength and then adhered the bunnies to opposite sides of the box.  I adhered the heads together and tied a pink satin bow around the neck.  Put in a bag of See's jelly beans and he's good to go!  Thanks for looking! :)

SAS Cards- first 6

These are 6 of the 10 projects we made on Saturday.  I will upload the other 4 tomorrow.

Vintage Vogue stamp set.  DSP:  Paisley Prints.  Cardstock and ink:  Choc Chip, Calypso Coral, River Rock
This is a little box made out of a 6x6 piece of cardstock scored every 2" on both sides.  Various punches used to make this cute bunny.

This scallop card was cased from a card I saw online but I can't remembe the name of the stamper.  When I find it again I will update this post and give her credit.  Thanks to Evie for prepping this card and changing it up a bit to make it her own.  :)
This little Lucky Limeade and Mambo Melon bird card was a CASE from Dawn Olchefske.

Fresh Vintage

The more I play with this stamp the more I like it!  I colored the markers to the stamp for coloring the image.  Colors used:  Mambo Melon, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green.   I enlarged the image by adding parts of the stamp to the outer edges.  When I was finished it seemed the upper right corner below the jewel brads was a little empty so I added the last little piece of the image and accidentally overlapped the big flower just a smidge.  Darn! :(  Still a nice card though.

Hand Dying ribbon

We have all been frustrated when we couldn't find the right color ribbon for our projects haven't we?  I wanted some Peach Parfait ribbon for a card we made at my Stamp a Stack on Saturday but didn't have any.  So I decided to dabble in custom dying my own ribbon. (Here's where it pays to have every re-inker in all the colors!)

I took white taffeta and dyed it with the Peach Parfait reinker.  I tried it two ways.  I had tried dying some satin ribbon a couple weeks ago by adding reinker to water and dipping the ribbon in.  It came out a little too pale for my taste.  So this time I tried it a little differently.  First I put the reinker on a piece of ribbon undiluted.  Very dark rich color- loved it.  Then I tried getting the ribbon wet first then putting the ink on the ribbon straight from the bottle.  A little bit lighter but still nice and bold.  Here is a pic of them side by side.  The top two are undiluted ink on dry ribbon.

I cut the ribbon to the desired lenghts, got them wet and then dyed them.  Then layed them on  a paper towel to dry.  (In retrospect, I should have put something under the paper towel to protect my counter. Luckily it didn't stain.  Whew!)
Here is the card with the custom dyed ribbon.  I CASED this card from Karen Squires. I used one of the Bold Bright buttons I got FREE as a Sale-a-bration freebie.  The DSP is Everyday Enchantment-- also a Sale-a-bration freebie.  Love it!!  The sentiment is from Apothecary Art stamp set in the Occasions mini catalog.

You should check out Karen's blog: stampinbythebay.blogspot.com.  She makes gorgeous cards!  You can see her card here.

Another Door Prize set

Here is another set  I put together for a future door prize:

This one we made at my Stamp-a-Stack last month

I posted a pic of this one a few weeks back.  I just love that bird!!

And this card I CASED from Mary Fish.  She's so talented!  Here is Mary's card.
These cards all showcase the fabulous Attic Boutique DSP in the current Occasions mini catalog.  I really love that DSP pack!  Stock up on it now because after next month it will be gone!!

Everyday Elegance DSP

I had all my supplies out on the table from my Stamp-a-Stack so naturally instead of cleaning everything up today  I played with the stuff instead.  :)

Here are some of the cards I created:

These will be in a card pack as a door prize at my next Stamp a Stack coming up in May.  Weeeeee!

Stamp-a-Stack on Saturday

We had so much fun on Saturday stamping some really beautiful cards (if I do say so myself- teehee).  Here are some pics of the day:

Denise and Alex

Kendra and Gail

Evie and Denise

Ronnie and Laura

I was so bad about taking pictures!  I forgot to take pics of the door prizes display and I missed taking some pics of the gals and their door prizes.  But I did manage to get a few:

I will try to post pics of the cards we made tomorrow.
