Blossom Punch flower card

I revamped a card a made last week for a color challenge.  Something just wasn't working for me.  I took off the flower and replaced it with one made with the Blossom punch.  Used the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog (you can get this DSP FREE with a $50 order!)  Punched two flowers and curled the petals.  Cut two more petals in Certainly celery cardstock and embossed it with Elegant Lines embossing folder.  Cut a few more flowers for the middle of the flower using the Boho Blossoms punch.  Sponged all edges with Basic Gray ink.  Stamped banner from Take it To Heart stamp set and sentiment from Loving Thoughts set (both from the Occasions mini catalog).  colored line on banner with Poppy Parade ink.  Center of flower is Antique Brad.  Doily punch is from the Occasions mini catalog as well as the Twitterpated DSP.  Basic gray satin ribbon, cardstock and ink

Blossom Punch butterfly revised

I had seen the butterfly made with the Blossom punch and the Mixed Bunch stamp set in the Occasions mini catalog and planned this card around that idea.  Using the photo in the mini catalog as a guide, I cut off 2 opposing petals to make the butterfly ( as seen in the version of this card a few posts down.)  I then saw another version of this butterfly but cutting 2 adjacent petals instead of opposing petals, which I liked better, so I redid the card with the newer butterfly version.  This is the one we made yesterday at my SAS.
I cut thin slivers of cardstock and curled it with my scissors to create the antenna.

Recipe:  Mixed Bunch stamp set.  Blossom Punch.  (Both from the Occasions mini catalog.)  Cardstock: and ink: Marina Mist.  Marina Mist satin ribbon.  Sponge, pearl, dimensionals.  Beau Chateau DSP

Bordering Romance Emboss Resist

We made this card at my SAS yesterday.  I just love the look of emboss resist.  To do this technique, I stamped the flower images from Bordering Romance stamp set on Whisper White in Versamark (clear ink) and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing powder.  Using sponge dauber I sponged Tangerine Tango ink over flower images and Certainly Celery over the leaf images.  On Tangerine Tango cardstock I cut the scallop edge witht the new Edgelits die on my Big Shot.  I stamped the row of flowers lining it up with the scallops in Tangerine Tango ink.  Stamped sentiment from Loving Thoughts set in Versamark on Pool Party card base and embossed with clear EP.  Ribbon is Pool Party seam binding ribbon in the Occasions mini catalog.  Added some pearls to flower centers for a little bling.

Birthday Penguin

Who would have thought you could make a cute penguin with the owl punch?!  I didn't think I wanted that punch and hesitated to buy it but boy have I seen some really cute stuff done with it!

This is one of the cards we made at my Stamp a Stack yesterday.

Recipe:  Card stock:  Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango.  Basic Black ink.  Polka dot embossing folder.  3/4" circle punch. Dimenstionals.  Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess stamp set.  DSP:  Big Top Birthday

Gorgeous Hummingbird

I saw this card on the CR84FN48 color challenge and I just had to share it.  It is by Jess Doyle.  Such a beautiful card.  I love the motion stamping she used.  She used Basic Gray, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade.  Stamp set:  Elements of Style

CR84FN48 Color Challenge

I made a card for the color challenge: Gray, Lavender and Chartreuse.  I used Basic Gray, Pear Pizazz and a retired Stampin Up lavender shade (not sure which one, I just grabbed it from my retired card stock stash and it wasn't labeled.)  I created a rose using 1", 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches.  Used an Empressor Stylus and a soft pad to indent the petals.  Also used the new Lace Doily die from the occasions mini catalog.  So pretty!  DSP is called Twitterpated and is also from the occasions mini catalog. I like how the pattern mimics the doily.  This was my first attempt at creating a rose like this. Next time I will fiddle with it a little more.  I think it needs 5 petals on the base instead of 4.
